About the Venue

National Trust Calke Abbey - This Grade I-listed country house, despite its name, has never actually been an abbey - but there's nothing misleading about its stunning landscape gardens. We're excited to be bringing our cinema picnics to this centuries-old venue in the idyllic Derbyshire countryside.

Accessibility: The event is held on flat ground with short grass and a slight slope at the back of the event space. It is approx. 400m from the car park. Most of this route is on a flat, gravel path; however, there is a sloping path down to the screening area. On the return up to the car park, the path up the hill is steep and winding, with no handrails. There will be accessible toilet facilities on site.
